Vegetarian Bun

These traditional Chinese buns are very healthy and good to eat.

Ingredients:-(Serves 8)

Filling

• 5 to 6 White Button Mushrooms
• 4 baby Carrots
• 250gms Cabbage
• 4 Spring Onions/ Green Onions
• 3tbsp Olive Oil
• 1 tsp Salt
• ½ tsp pepper

Dough

• 3 cups All Purpose Flour
• ½ tsp Dry Active Yeast
• 1 Cup Warm Water


Method:

1. Prepare a dough using all purpose flour,dry active yeast and warm water.
2. Keep it aside covered in a warm place to set for an hour.
3. Add together all the Veggies along with the Oil and then add salt to it.
4. After this take the portion of the dough size of a lemon and spread it to the size of a pancake with thin edges.
5. Drop a spoonful of the made filling on it
6. Now fold the pancake with two edges meeting each other.
7. Start making small folds taking both the edges together and then punch it at last give a pinch.
8. Place the prepared buns in a perforated basket covered over the hot boiling water for about 12 min.
9. Give it a standing time of 5 min and then remove

Fresh Creamy Mushroom Soup

Fresh creamy restaurant style mushroom soup made easily at home


Ingredients:-

  • 250 gms Button Mushrooms
  • 1/3 rd Cup Corn flour to make Corn starch
  • 250 gms Butter
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 4 Bouillon cube or 4 tsp of Bouillon ( Veg or non Veg)
  • 1 Big Onion
  • 1 rsp Garlic & Ginger Paste
  • 1 Cup Cream
  • 3 ½ Cups Water
 
Method:-

  1. Wash the mushrooms and pull out the stem part aside.
  2. Cut the round head part in slices.
  3. Take a pan add the butter into it and then the sliced mushrooms.
  4. Keep on cooking till tender.
  5. Now strain them out and add the kept aside stem part of the mushroom ibto the pan.
  6. Add the diced onions, garlic & ginger paste into it.
  7. Keep on cooking till onions tender.
  8. Meanwhile mix the Bouillon into the water.
  9. Add the corn starch into the pan, that works as a thickening agent.
  10. Add the Bouillon mixture and continue stirring till the mixture starts getting thick.
  11. Pour the whole of it now into a blender.
  12. Then again add the blended soup into the pan and start boiling for the desired thickness.
  13. Don’t forget to add here salt, pepper, cream and of course the fried mushrooms kept aside.
  14. Serve hot.

Chinese Veg Stir Fry Recipe

A perfect easy to make Chinese vegetarian recipe.


Ingredients:-

  • 1 Cup  half cut  button Mushrooms
  • 1 Cup diced Baby Corns
  • 1 Cup Whole Water Chestnuts
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • ¼th  Cup Soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp Red Wine
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Peanut Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp vinegar (Optional)

Method:-

  1. Heat the Wok and add the peanut oil.
  2. Add mushrooms and keep on stirring till soft for about 3 minutes.
  3. Take them out and add some more peanut oil in the wok if needed.
  4. Now add in the Baby corn and water chestnuts.
  5. Keep on frying till another 3 minutes
  6. Add the fried mushrooms again in the wok.
  7. Add all the remaining ingredients one by one.
  8. Keep on cooking till the vegetables get soft totally coated with sauce and the sauce gets thick.
