Although now Sattu is very popular all over India and many know about its health benefits but still Sattu is not easily available in some regions of India. So yes the good news is that you can make pure Sattu at home in two ways from scratch, You can either roast the Chana or Black chickpea and then grind it after removing its black cover. And the other option which is easier would be to bring roasted Chana from the market (I guess that’s available almost everywhere branded or non-branded) and then grind it into a Sattu flour.

As per disadvantage, it can be subjective, like too much consumption of chana Sattu can cause gastric issues. And please don’t try to eat it dry because it can be choking.
