Kashmiri Style Wheat Flour Laddu

Kashmiri ladoo are made using wheat flour specially in time of any auspicious occasions or puja as a prasad.it can also be made with Jaggery instead of Sugar.

Ingredients:-

  • 2 cup Wheat flour / Aata
  • 1/2 tsp Black cardamom seeds / Badi elaechi
  • 4 tbsp Clarified butter / Desi ghee
  • 4 tbsp Desiccated coconut / Sukha Nariyal
  • 4 tbsp Sugar / Cheeni
  • About 1 cup Water / Pani
  • Ghee for frying
  • Some Poppyseeds / Khush khush

Method:-

  1. In a bowl mix flour, Black cardamom, Clarified Butter, Sugar and desiccated coconut.
  2. Next adding Water little at a time make a stiff dough.
  3. Take small portions of the dough ball and then roll into about 6 inch long rope which is not too thick.
  4. Now roll this rope as a shell.Fry them over medium heat in hot ghee till golden brown crisp.
  5. Sprinkle some poppyseeds after straining out from ghee but when still hot.
  6. Cool serve or store.
